Contract revenue leakage checklist for recurring service businesses.
Use these eight checks to compare what a customer agreement allows with what your business currently invoices. Start with one valuable recurring account—not your entire contract portfolio.
Open the checklist ↓Price adjustments
List every fixed, CPI-linked, wage-linked, or discretionary price increase. Record the calculation method, cap, floor, effective date, and required notice.
Current invoice rate
Compare the latest invoice rate with the rate that should apply under the active agreement and all signed amendments.
Scope additions
Check added sites, floors, equipment, posts, shifts, visits, and service frequencies against recurring invoice lines.
Premium services
Review overtime, holiday, emergency, after-hours, callout, mobilization, and special-service terms.
Change orders
Trace approved changes from email, ticket, work order, or amendment through to the first corrected invoice.
Notice deadlines
Confirm who must receive notice, how it must be delivered, and the last date for a price or renewal action.
Credits and exceptions
Separate legitimate credits, caps, discounts, and negotiated exceptions from accidental underbilling.
Future verification
After correcting a rate or scope item, inspect the next invoice to confirm the change persists.
Every finding needs evidence, impact, and an owner.
For each possible leak, save the source clause, related invoice, expected calculation, estimated monthly impact, confidence level, deadline, and person responsible for approving the correction.
